My personal goal is to always deliver the type of player experiences and entertainment that I grew up on as a player - regardless of platform or monetization model. Sometimes that type of experience comes from the game mechanics themselves - sometimes it is all about the feedback and presentation itself. If I manage to even for 5 minutes in a day make the player experience fun and completely immerse themselves in the fantasy we are creating for them - I consider that a success.
My expectations of the Team and the Company
Most of my work experience is working with teams/productions between 15-30 people, even if said team is part of a larger organization. I value close collaboration and working hands on with developers and artists to achieve the best result possible. . Some of my best work tends to happen when paired directly with a developer and working hands on on implementation - task after task.
My desired tasks and responsibilities
- Prototyping and designing various mechanics and feedback loops.
- Wireframe and mock-up various screens and UI elements.
- Working closely on different aspect of the player experience to make the gameplay as satisfying and intuitive as possible.
- Assist with implementation of various UI elements/animations in Unity.
My Dream Job
A position that balances my work between focusing on the creation of new and exciting game mechanics and gameplay solutions to interesting problems, as well as their UI/UX presentation and implementation.
My work tends to balance between both the design of gameplay and the design of it's visual presentation and information delivery (UI/UX) in a satisfying way, as that is how great player moments are created.
